What artificial turf installation involves
A turf lawn is only as good as the base under it. We remove the old grass and soil, grade for drainage, then compact a crushed-aggregate base so water runs off and the surface never dips or puddles. The turf is rolled out, seamed, trimmed to your borders and secured, then brushed and infilled so the blades stand up and feel like a real lawn underfoot.
We install premium, lead-free synthetic grass with a realistic multi-tone blade and a heavy face weight, matched to how the area actually gets used — full sun, shade, kids, dogs, or all of the above.
How much does artificial turf cost in Tennessee?
Most residential turf projects in the Nashville area run about $8–$15 per square foot installed.
The two biggest drivers are the turf grade you choose and how much base work the yard needs — a flat, well-draining lot costs less than one that has to be regraded. The rest of the number follows from:
- How much old lawn has to come out
- The drainage base the ground calls for
- The size of the area

Artificial Turf Installation questions
How much does artificial turf cost per square foot installed?
About $8 to $15 a square foot installed is where most Nashville-area homes land. The cost section above lists what moves a yard toward either end: the turf grade, the base work, the old lawn coming out and the size of the area.
How long does artificial turf take to install?
One to three days covers a typical backyard, from tearing out the old grass to brushing in the infill, and the turf can be walked on as soon as the last seam is finished.
How long does artificial turf last?
Good synthetic turf lasts 15 to 20 years and often longer. Two things set the number: how heavy the turf’s face weight is, and how well the drainage base under it was built.
What is needed to install artificial turf properly?
A base that drains. The old grass and soil come out, the ground is graded so water runs off, and a crushed-aggregate base is compacted on top. Then the turf is rolled out, seamed, trimmed to the borders, secured and brushed full of infill.
Is artificial turf safe for kids and dogs?
Yes. The synthetic grass is lead-free and suits kids and dogs alike; for a dedicated dog area, pet turf adds an antimicrobial surface and a fast-draining infill.
